I don't deal with suspense well

Ask anyone who has gone to a horror movie with me.
Waiting for panel while being unsure of my pictures is literally KILLING me.
it might also be the no-sleep and too-much-coffee, but my heart is beating weirdly
and my hands shake.
I HATE this. If this isn't incentive to succeed every week, I don't know what is. There's nothing more uncomfortable than the sense of impending doom...

i would say that you, out of nearly everyone, has the least to worry about... but then i thought, actually maybe cozy is a victim of her own success. maybe the fact that everyone has such high praise for her in the past as a contestant and as a judge is weighing heavy on her shoulders and she's terrified of disappointing.

and then i thought, what a bunch of crap. but i posted it anyway.

I don't know. I know it sounds really cheesy, but I am my worst critic. It's not that I'm unjustly hard on myself, because when I am I do deserve it, it's that I know everything that's wrong with my photos before it's even said, and yet I don't re-shoot to fix those problems.

Idk. It sounds like a lot of people were unhappy with their shoots, so maybe it'll just be an off week. It's a tough genre for some people to pull off. Then there's people who do really well with this dark, edgy stuff, like you and Avess and Erik and a few others that I'm forgetting.

welll you said it yourself, and as your own worst critic you're making it harder for yourself i guess but you can't help it. i think, just make sure you don't point out too much what you think is wrong with a photo - it might be things no one would have noticed otherwise. but i guess you've got so far anyway, even being your own worst critic. death can be a tough genre but for some reason i find it quite easy to get into it, whereas commercial stuff (like your amazing secret shot) is a biiiig challenge for me. i think this week people are going to do better than they anticipated, including you!

i'm praying for a commercial shoot soon. haha.
also for the next shoot to be due after the 18th, because then I can use HUMAN photographers! instead of a stack of precariously perched cardboard boxes.

i used to do that in cycle 1! not cardboard boxes, but my dads many plastic canisters full of birdseed out in the garage. i'd stack them up and try and rest the camera on the front against the raised bit so that it was tilted down at me.

now obviously, me and avess make eachother take our photos.

well that works! just make sure Avess doesn't intentionally keep his thumb in front of the lens the whole time. greedy bastard.

For my fadeaway picture, I just brought a chair into the hallway, perched a box ontop of it I think, balanced it with a sock then took the pictures. lol

well because we've taken most of the photos with the flash in a completely dark room, we can't even see where we've been aiming properly. so i've cut his body or legs or arms out of loads of otherwise really good shots by accident! he'll be getting revenge on me with thumbs soon, i think

haha. yeah. gotta love those inanimate photographers. For my dead shoot I set it on a box, then pushed the button and rolled away into position for the shot. I got sooooo dizzy.

Timer is getting to be so frustrating. Mine has started to do this thing where it'll give me 10 seconds to get into the shot. But inbetween every shot after that, all I have is 2 seconds, so I dont have time to think about my face or body.

I wish we all lived in the same area and we could take each others pictures haha

I liked my shots....but I'm really worried. I did mine early on Monday b/c I didn't have a lot of time. I'm worried b/c I was eliminated for the killer shoot in cycle 2 and I'm worried it will happen again. Not to mention everyone else had tons of time to do something extreme. I'm never sure if the judges will like my shots...but at least this time, I do.

are you guys doing one comment each for the spread, or for every individual photo? cuz that's like 48 comments each. yipes.

lol so far i have just done my call out order and no comments. One comment per spread sounds like a good idea...cus theres no way in hell i'm doing comments for 48 photos!
