yes. my lame boyfriend made me wait til last night to do my shots for me and as usual, was a shit photographer, this time cutting off my feet or my head in half of my shots. i'm doing the vampire ones myself today, but all in on time. i dunno who has submitted already.

i bet it's to keep comments even. some people get more critiques because they turn it in the day after the brief is announced whereas those who have to wait til the last day, or are even late, sometimes don't get anything to help them through the next week, should they make it through.

so if he posts all the pictures after they've been turned in, they can all receive critiques.

I guess that seems fair. I hate leaving it this close to the deadline, but I'm revising for exams and it's just about finding time to fit it in. I'm scared

trust me, i hate waiting too, yet i've had to do it almost every week since we started because of one thing or another. i had to buy batteries for my camera and i'm running on absolutely no money at the moment, so last night, i literally dug out all of my change to buy cheap ass batteries that will die before i finish my vampire shoot, lol. i get paid tomorrow though, WOOT.

Actually posting all the pictures at once is worse. because then we have to rush with our comments. I like commenting on like 3 pictures a day.

i imagine writing out a decent critique for like 13 or less people would take an hour tops if there's only one photo. i just wish after the first week up until like the final 5/6/7, we wouldn't take more than one picture because the more people have to do, the longer the entire process takes and even the judges slack off somewhat. look at the critiques for the murdercorpsemugshot. brilliant idea for photoshoots, but only Bree and Leigh were able to put in the effort to say something worth reading for every contestant.

only last week did i have comments from all of the judges for the first time and my photos haven't even ever been late.

put some time into it, all you gotta do is look at pictures and type, your days/nights can't be that busy.

I do try to comment on all the pictures, but i try my best not to sound generic by saying "you did great!!!" or "wow i love this!!"

When i have to finish all my comments in an hour they will start to look like that

let me write your critiques for you. and i'll do your callout order too. trust me.

why balance? tell people who did shitty what they did wrong and what they should do next time, and people who did well what they did right, and everyone in the middle what was wrong, right and what they should do next time. it's not rocket science.

p.s. though what i meant is that it's not hard to find time to judge. you sit in front of the computer. as compared to the rest of us who have to wait for the right hours if we're doing it outside or for the perfect place to be available and shit like that.

i want to know these things when i do shitty. i don't want some false pretense that i even did mediocre if i actually did a shit job.
