Uh, well I have a problem with my muscles which makes it uncomfortable for me to hold positions for a very long time. It's called Hypotonia and my muscles don't have the tone to hold themselves together so I don't have a lot of strength. So I couldn't sit up straight very well. But my in second grade, before I was diagnosed, my teacher mistook my squirminess for ADD and proceeded to put me in a remedial class despite me testing near the top of my class. She wouldn't let me back in class until I went for a psych evaluation, and the guy didn't even ask me any questions, he just asked my mom about my home life and stuff and then diagnosed me with ADD based on the teachers' remarks. I recently found my file from the dude and it was full of such BS and was so very condescending to my parents. My mom got a second opinion from a physical therapist and was told of the Hypotonia, so she refused to acknowledge the "diagnosis" or put me on Ritalin, but the teacher still wouldn't let me back in the classroom. We had to threaten to sue the school just for me to be allowed to learn with everyone else. I got therapy twice a week during school and whenever I'd leave to go to my therapy sessions my teacher would make fun of me to the other students.
It seems quite mundane but it was the first step in the process of making me a jaded, angry student. Seriously, the public school system pisses me off. They'd rather label a different student as a "problem" student and pass them off as a disturbance, and sweep them under the rug instead of helping them. It's like I was a social deviant and thus wasn't allowed in class because I was disrupting the social order.

When I was younger I was overweight. I lived in a small apartment with my abusive mom. She would throw stuff at me and call me fat and stupid. I kinda kept to myself in school b/c she told me school wasn't gonna help nobody and to keep my mouth shut. As a consequence I never really learned to read or write, teachers would just give me an A for being in class. Then one day the principal made me go to an alternative school b/c she found out I was gonna have another baby...I was only 16. My mom got mad cuz they cut our welfare cuz I wasn't in school...she threw a pan at me and made me eat cold pig's feet with no collard greens. At the alternative school I started to learn how to read from the ABC's teacher, but my mom beat me cuz she thought I was acting snobby cuz I could read. She sent me down to the welfare to get her check back. The welfare lady said no, then my baby Abdul was born. My mom almost killed him b/c she was spiteful. I moved in with the ABC's teacher to get away from my mom....she called me a Scorpio baby....basically a liar.Now I write to tell people my story an feed baby Abdul and my new baby Mongul.

It's not really a sob story, but my mom's a lesbian, my brother's gay, my dad's fat and diabetic, and I'm vertically challenged and had a hard time growing up and didn't find social acceptance until a year ago today. My life's a little out there. lol

Ive got a funny story. Could be a sob story if i made it one, but looking at my life recently it makes me laugh, probably crazily though, not like a little "goodness me how delightful" little giggle, but a crazy cat lady cackle.

I just got back from the hairdressers, where it was discovered I have a patch of stress related alopecia areata about the size of 20 cent piece.

Thats like, a bit bigger than a bottle cap.

He said it would grow back soon. OR there was like a 1-2% chance it would spread and all my hair would disappear. Well, he didnt say that last part about it spreading, wikipedia did. Being stress related and all, Im assuming it will spread seeing as though me worrying about losing all my hair is quite stressful and makes me wanna vomit and cry and rip my hair out. I dont have the face to pull off bald!! I just dont!!
