Haha I saw this on the news the other night, they banned it and it is absolutely ridiculous that they did and it made me furious.

People complained that it supported the stereotype that "black people like chicken", which something that only applies to African American people.

The most ridiculous part about it is that these people are not African/American, they are supposed to be from the West Indies, which is the Aussie cricket teams greatest rival. The premise of the ad is that EVERYBODY loves KFC chicken and if you offer ANYBODY KFC chicken, they will be your friend.

So I think whoever complained are frickin ignorant and are racist themselves for assuming that certain stereotypical aspects of the whole "ghetto" image apply to ALL people with dark skin.

What I meant was that the stereotype that "black people like chicken" only really applies to African/Americans, as far as I am aware. I didnt think it was applicable to people from the Carribean or Native Africans, so the fact that people automatically widened that stereotype to other cultures is beyond ridiculous because they are only supporting it.
