for free on the internet! no joke! obviously it's not gonna be to everyone's taste. it's somewhat lo-fi and downbeat. it's a bunch of songs i wrote and recorded over the past 2 years. if you're interested at all, the link is here. if you don't like it but you know someone else who might, give it to them! share, share, share! please!

for my next stuff, i'm thinking of an italo-disco direction. just to prove i can make happy music.

Really, really digging this! Usually I'm into stuff more like electro or maybe alternative rock, but this bittersweet minimalist work is really heartrending and tear-jerking and sort of has that part-of-the-movie-when-everyone's-isolated feel to it. Also, the melodies are genius! Reminds me a little of some of the Juno sountrack. (Jono...Juno...xD)

kazara!! i see what you mean about the juno thing. and i don't mind saying that and admitting that. because even though it was overexposed for a while, i had most of the stuff on that soundtrack before it came out anyway. i'm also an elitist. and i don't mind admitting that either. ha

Yeah, I thought maybe I risked being offensive with the Juno reference since it's sort of "mainstream indie". If there's a such thing, that is. I think maybe your music is more soulful, though. And, lol, music elitism is great. A good friend of mine is a musical elitist. He spits on the majority of artists I like. xD

it's total mainstream indie yeah. but i can't judge too much with a lot of things, i mean i love abba for frigs sake.

i like to think there's a bit more soul in my stuff i guess. i'm not as detached, or ironic. but i'd like to be. maybe i should try it. my music is where all my sincerity goes because i'm so happy and ironic and sarcastic in real life. ha

Yeah, some of the deadpan snarkery in music is a good change, but I really just kind of like music that takes itself seriously. That's what's truly refreshing in the end. If you want humorous music, just listen to Weird Al. xD So personally I would recommend keeping to your current music style unless you suddenly get inspired by Haddaway or something. "Who is Jonoooo? Baby, don't hurt meeee, don't hurt meeee, no mo'..."

Adobe Flash needs to be updated to listen from this computer so I just perused the gallery & I'm crazy about the "Can you find it?" It looks like it would be perfect as album art. "The Old Owl" is primo too, almost like.. Confucius meets Poe. But Jono.
