This is the first of many international destinations this cycle!

Now onto the shoots!


This week is all about Music + Movement!

You may recognise the first shoot from ANTM Cycle 10 and INTM Cycle 1....






SHOOT #9- MUSIC GENRES!!!

Just like in Cycle 1, I will be allocating a music video of an Australian artist to you. It is your task to completely embody that particular artist and create an image that characterises that particular genre of music. You will be choosing a scene of the artist/s from within the music video and recreating it. Take note of the fashion, set and makeup and try to replicate that as best as possible.

SHOOT #10: ABORIGINAL DANCE, Cycle 8 ANTM.




For this week's second shoot, you will be involved in a Corroboree, a sacred traditional Indigenous Australian ceremony where members of the Aboriginal community connect with their beliefs of the Dreamtime through music and dance. It is a very spiritual event, where the Aboriginal people replay the stories of the Dreamtime through animalistic movements and tribal dance scenes.

I want you to paint your body with traditional aboriginal colours and symbols, which you will need to research. This shoot MUST be done outside or around bushes and plants and dirt. I want to be able to feel the movement in your shoot. This means FULL BODY!
Think about the story you are conveying. These dances are sometimes joyous and happy, sometimes more serious and intense, so think about what route you would like to take.
But you must also remember to make it fashion in some way- Think about what you are selling!
Whether it be jewelry, etc.
Try to replicate the attire as best as you can, for authenticity
Id prefer that you didnt have other people in the shot.
The shoot MUST be transferred into sepia tone.

You may send in SIX shots, Jared may send in NINE because he correctly guessed this shoot.
You have until NEXT FRIDAY to complete both shoots!

uhhh wow these sound really fun!!! they both allow for a lot of creativity, so it's gonna be intense.
I really really cannot shoot outside though. It's barely 10 degrees here on the average day. i can drag fake plants into my basement, but that's about as good as i can get. This sucks, because my music video is outside too.

ha, fucking love it. i wasn't looking forward to doing music genres but this looks fun.

and the aboriginal dances is going to be challenging. considering it is still on-and-off snowing in england. i wish we actually WERE in australia. but it will also be fun. i think i can do well this week.

I've changed my mind. I wanted to hate Empire Of The Sun cos this annoying Bible Basher used to go on about them for ages and I just want to hate everything he loves, but they're decent.

I should read more often; I just did my aboriginal shoot outside in 20 degree weather. Its cold as shit! hahah. I can't feel my toes.

i was going to the shoot when i came home from uni

but i had to stay back for 2 hours and now its really dark and rainy

so i will have to do Sunday afternoon as i'm out all day 2morrow

so will i defo get penelty points?
