Youve been wondering for a while when it would come. And here it is!!



COMMERCIAL WEEK!











But this time, you will be doing something never before seen on INTM!

You will not be doing a photoshoot, but a

TELEVISION COMMERCIAL!!!

So get your video cameras and webcams ready!!!

This week, you will be filming a commercial for SweetTyraPop- Japan Style!

After the US, Japan has the largest advertisement market in the world. It is not just a way for companies to sell their products, but has become a complete pop culture. One of the biggest tools used in Japanese marketing is the use of international models, as it feeds the Japanese's interest in foreign features and looks. Japanese commercials are world renowned for being colourful, energetical, musical and just all round crazy fun!

Here are a few examples of what you will be doing this week:






Each of you will choose a different colour from the list below, which will represent a different flavour of SweetTyraPop- you will decide the flavour!
You will film a 20-30 second advert selling the can of drink and yes, you WILL be speaking some Japanese!

The colour you choose must be dominant in your set, props, makeup and outfit- you may use whatever type of editing program you can find to change the colour of the background if possible, but otherwise do the best you can-maybe hang up a sheet, because your set should really look like a studio. Here are the colours, please copy and paste this list below and add your name.

1. Red- Cozy
2. Blue- Jared
3. Yellow- Avess
4. Orange- Connan
5. Purple- Mikiel
6. Green- Oregon
7. Brown- Jonny
8. Pink- Chantal


Here is a loose outline of the script. You MUST say every line, but be as creative as you like with whatever else you do. Be fun, happy, cute and energetic! Be inspired by the above videos! And remember that it is about the product too!

SCRIPT:
[dances around holding the can, singing POP! POP! POP! YEAH! POP!]-(you may alter this as you wish, this is just an outline)

YOU: [drink from can] Mmm! Umai!!! (Delicious)

[more dancing]

YOU: [drink from can] Aaaah! Sugasugashii! (Refreshing)

[more dancing, twirling, jumping, etc]

YOU: Ooooh! Atarashii! (New)

YOU: SweetTyraPop!!

YOU: Daisuki!! (I really like it!)

[finishes with you holding up can, smiling]


If you have the ability to do so, feel free to edit your video with different bits eg) close ups of you smiling or winking. If you dont have the ability but want it done, find someone who can- Im sure people will be happy to help!
Also, try putting an appropriate music track in the video.

The person who will do the best this week is the one who completely loses all their inhibitions and insecurities and just has the most fun with it, while still showing commercial appeal and model features of course!

You only send in ONE take!! So rehearse! Or edit lots!

The easiest way to get it to us would be to upload to youtube and make it available to friends only, add the IMDBsNextTopModel account to yours and unlock the video for that account. If you dont have a youtube account- MAKE ONE! I will not accept excuses about not being able to get it to me because doing it this way is easy to do.

If you dont have a camera, FIND ONE! Or use your phone. You will not be marked on camera quality unless it is completely unviewable.

I know we havnt done anything like this before, so I understand if people arent sure how to go about it. Ask as many questions as you wish- but DO NOT come to me a day before its due with all these questions! Get yourself organised as quickly as possible and PLEASE come to me if you need help!

Everyone must send me the link to their commercials by NEXT FRIDAY, so you have a little over a week to complete this.

My first question: With the script, the only part that we can alter is the opening singing song right? Or was the entire script an outline, and we can do as we like?

And Mikiel, the script is set in stone, you must say those lines. You may do what you want with the song but make it relevant to the product somehow

does anyone know how to download a song that can be used in Windows Movie Maker? i've tried to do it with mp3s before and i don't think i did it correctly. i have the song i want, i just dont have it on my computer...also is there a good place i can go where i won't end up in jail? i've never done this before.

Search google for an MP3 to WMA converter. There should be quite a few free. A lot of them chop off half of the song but I guess that you won't need the whole song, right? And I'm so looking forward to this I wanna get started now but I can't

do you just need to download a song? use a youtube coverter,http://www.video2mp3.net/ find the song you want on youtube, stick the link in there and it will download to a song
