There are pictures that I wish I had had different ones chosen:
Ghost picture,
Pajamas,
Hearts on Fire
Jeffree Star
David Bowie
And I've said that in the past. But I can understand why the judges chose them and I think it's important to acknowledge that - for example I think my ghost picture was chosen because my face was not nice in the other ones, even though my body was nicer; my Hearts on Fire was chosen because of the framing, etc. Those are both shoots that I have done well on and done poorly on. I'm not presenting it in an accusing manner. I'm just saying I preferred certain pictures. Others have been accusing, and it's so tired.

I dont think i ever said anything like that. Actually i made a thread on the last board showing the pictures that i wish had been chosen.

Oh and Ballard on the topic of eliminating someone wrongly, you really seem to think that the judging process is different from what Leigh says. It isn't. It's a purely mathematical thing. We don't just decide "__________ should be eliminated, they're gone." If the numbers don't add up, they won't go. The only time the judges have eliminated someone who did NOT get the highest total was when Audrey submitted an old picture for her Spy photo.
The one time I felt like judging was a bit unfair was during the robot shoot. I had originally called Jonny's softcore robo-porn shot first. Everyone else had called him last, I think, and called Lauren next-to-last (I had called her last). With the scores the way they were, Lauren would get eliminated, and even though everyone had her second-last, they didn't want her to go, so I was pressured into moving Jonny down one or two spots (at least I got to call Amaranth first and she deserved that call-out). I still do regret pushing Jonny down though - partly because I thought it was a good shot and partly because Lauren got eliminated the next week anyway. Lauren, if you're reading this, I love you and you're a sweetheart and I mean no offense by this!! But yeah, that's, in my opinion, the only unfair judging I've witnessed, and it wasmostly my fault for letting myself be pressured.

I felt bad at the time. I still feel bad. Jonny was getting better and Lauren was getting worse. But I remember it being quite heated in the judge's lounge. But seriously, "I hope your proud of yourself?" Yeah, because this is soooo monumentous and important in my life.

Bree, you are painting a picture here that is highly inaccurate.

Ive just been back to the cycle 3 forums and the judges lounge for that week, and I dont think you were pressured in any way at all.

I dont see how it is unfair for all the judges to discuss why they think another person should be eliminated. That was the whole purpose of the judges lounge.

Im not saying that you cant acknowledge that you thought Jonny's elimination was unjust. But youve made the discussion in the judges lounge sound like a plan to rig the elimination, which you know isnt true

OH this is the part that triggered the previous post:

Thats crap.

Lauren was set to leave until Firebolt added his callout, pushing Jonny into last place
Its not like everything was done and at the last minute we were like "well, the person we want gone isnt going, so lets all change our callouts and get bree to do the same"

unless there was some behind the scenes action i didnt see, it just did not go down like that

My goodness - I go away for a couple of hours and this thread springs into life. Anything worth catching up with? If so, can someone fill me in

i'm just quite inarticulate and often my point gets lost by my mindless babbling.

No no no Leigh I'm not tryin to say we did something evil as judges.
I just seem to recall it was like, I was the only person who liked Jonny's picture and it seemed like everyone was like "Are you crazy?" And pretty much every judge had expressed that they didn't feel like Lauren should have been eliminated.
I'm not saying you guys pressured me yourself. I put more of the pressure on myself... but I did kind of feel like you guys were upset that I had put Jonny where I did. And I started to feel bad too because I didn't want Lauren to have to leave, so I altared my call-out (and I always feel bad altaring my call-out though I have done that a few times).
What I'm saying is that the judges don't rank based on who they WANT to leave, they rank based on pictures. I did feel, that week, that felt like an exception to me.

And yeah, you do have a very valid point

Maybe thats something we can think about changing- ranking overall performance and not just pictures, which would prevent strong people leaving because of one bad picture. Although, i do think that also prevents people who are developing and improving from staying. Or maybe we could decide a bottom 2 with the process we have now and then have a vote on who should leave from the bottom 2.

Perhaps it could be some sorta bottom-two factor.
It does kinda suck when one good person has a fluke... (i.e. my ghost picture. All I can say is: THANK YOU KRISSY.)
Oh, also, it did happen with Audrey, but that wasn't so much agenda as it was rule-breaking on her part.

I think that may be a better way of deciding who from the bottom two should go home. It may sound good on paper, but be completely flawed in practice so its a tough call haha.

Who knows? It'd be especially hard during a cycle such as this where we have not only the model's performance in this current cycle but also the model's performance in his or her own previous cycle.
